WORK FINALLY PROGRESSING ON CITY ARTHOUSE CINEMA

Date Published: 19-Apr-2012

Work is progressing on the arthouse cinema in the city.

The new contractor JJ Rhatigan commenced on site at the end of February after the original contractor pulled out last year due to financial reasons.

Councillors have been informed that a house on Lower Merchants Road has now been demolished and the site cleared.

Piling rigs will now be mobilised on the site as the next step in the construction programme.

The project is expected to take 16 months to complete.
