WOMAN STABLE IN HOSPITAL AFTER CITY HOUSE FIRE

A woman is in a stable condition in hospital following a house fire in the city this morning.[13/1]The alarm was raised at 4am when a fire started in an upstairs bedroom at a student house in Greenfields, Newcastle. Two units of Galway Fire Brigade rushed to the scene of the fire at Greenfields and evacuated 5 women from the house. All five were taken to UHG suffering from smoke inhalation.4 of the women were discharged while one remains in a stable condition.
