WOMAN INJURED IN CITY HIT AND RUN

A woman is recovering in hospital after being injured in a hit and run in the city last night. [15/6]

The incident happened when the 26 year old woman, who was a pedestrian, was struck by a car at the pedestrian lights close to Dunnes, Terryland at 8.45p.m.

The car failed to remain at the scene.Meanwhile, a young man from the Galway area is in a serious condition in Beaumont hospital in Dublin following a single car crash on the Monivea road at the weekend.
