VISITING RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE AT PORTIUNCLA

Date Published: 07-Mar-2012
Visiting restrictions have been put in place at Portiuncla Hospital Ballinasloe following another outbreak of the winter vomitting bug.
This follows an outbreak of Norovirus at the hospital last month.
Visitors are asked not to visit Portiuncla Hospital unless it's absolutely essential.
Visitors who themselves may be unwell, very young children and people with serious illness should avoid visiting the hospital.
Members of the public with symptoms of vomitting and diarrhoea are asked to contact their GP or GP out of hours service and not to attend the Emergency Department unless it's absolutely necessary.
