Unusual Variety Show fundraiser

Great Galway Variety Show Extravaganza will be held upstairs in Monroe’s on Wednesday next March 28 and the title reflects the array of performers and events packed into one night.

The event kicks off at 9pm with be free wine, beer and cheese tasting, followed by music from Mikey and the Scallywags, Órla De Bhaldraithe, Helen Gregg, Justin McCarthy, James Gallagher and the debut of Galway group Tradiohead, playing Radiohead hits with a trad twist and featuring Mike Chang, Jimi McDonell, Philip Fogarty and Pat Hargan.

If that isn’t enough to propel a night of excitement, there will also be theatre vignettes by Rod Goodall, Philip Sweeney, Robbie Smith and Darrach Ó Tuairisg. The night will be MCd by Gavin Morgan and will come to a beat-tastic conclusion with a DJ set from Keith Disconaut.

Tickets for the event cost €10 and all proceeds will go to Galway Theatre Festival.
