TWO STILL HELD OVER GORT COCAINE SEIZURE

A man and a woman remain in custody at Galway Garda Station this morning [3/11] in relation to the seizure of up to 2 million euro worth of cocaine near Gort yesterday.
The discovery of 7 kilos of the drug was made after Gardaí from the National Drugs Unit and Customs officers stopped a car on the outskirts of Gort.
A follow-up operation yesterday afternoon resulted in Gardaí searching two houses in Moycullen.
One hundred thousand euro in cash was recovered in one of the houses
A 39 year old man and a 24 year old woman from Limerick were arrested under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act following the cocaine seizure near Gort yesterday morning.
