TWO REMANDED ON BAIL OVER ALLEGED CRIMINAL DAMAGE AT FORMER OCCUPY SITE

Two men charged with criminal damage at the former Occupy Galway site have been remanded on continuing bail.

26 year old Chris Duignan with an address at 22 St. Cormacs Park, Kilcormac, County Offaly and 19 year old Mark McKenna of 158 Laurel Park in Newcastle in the city appeared before Galway District Court today [May 28].

Both men are charged with criminal damage at the former Occupy Galway camp at Kennedy Park on Thursday May 17th.

Judge Mary Fahy reserved on legal aid for both and ordered that Duignan and McKenna appear before the court again on 27th June.

Directions from the DPP will then be heard.
