TUAM DEVELOPER WINS BID TO EXPAND HOUSING ESTATE

A Tuam landowner has won his bid to expand a housing estate in the town. An Bord Pleanála has overturned a decision by county planners to refuse Joe Dilleen permission to add more houses to the Bealach na Gaoithe estate in Killaloonty. The Planning appeals authority has granted Joe Dilleen permission to expand Bealach na Gaoithe, but only by 21 houses, as opposed to his plan to add 26 more houses.
