Tuam Area Cllr calls for review of school bus transport rules
Galway bay fm newsroom - Tuam Area Cllr Sean Canney is calling on the government to reverse certain rules of the school bus transport system.
Under regulations introduced last year, students who qualify for the subsidised service must attend the nearest school, as opposed to a school of their choice.Cllr Canney says he has received representations from parents who were advised that their children could not be accommodated on bus services last week.He told Galway Talks that many familes now have to make alternative arrangements with no prior notice
