A convoy of about 20 traveller caravans is on the main road in Moycullen this evening, having been moved on by Gardaí and the community warden. The group set up camp in Moycullen several months ago and have faced opposition from some locals, who wanted them moved on.The City Council had claimed the situation was a matter for the County Council as it was outside its boundary. One of the group, John Paul Delaney, told Galway Bay Fm News this evening, that they have nowhere else to go because the City Council won't provide them with a temporary site.
