Top UK clubs for Umbro Cup

TEAMS from Glasgow Celtic, Ipswich Town, Aberdeen and Preston North End, as well as a national FAI selection, are to converge on Galway next month for the third annual Umbro Cup.A total of 110 teams have been confirmed for the competition, which will be run as three events across six different age groups from U13to U17, including the Elite U15 section.Scottish side Aberdeen return to defend the title they won last year at the Elite Level, beating the FAI side in the final. In previous years, the likes of Glasgow Celtic, Preston North End, and SFAI All-Ireland Champions Mervue United have left empty-handed, which gives some indication of the competitiveness of the group.
