TAXI RANKS FOR TUAM MOVE CLOSER

The possibility of designated taxi spaces in Tuam moved closer with the presentation of a draft plan to the town council last night.But some confusion remains regarding whether or not the designated taxi spaces will be in place before or after Tuam’s streets are dug up for the laying of service cables.According to the draft plan six spaces will be at High street and seven at Shop Street.An additional 12 spaces will be available after 6 p.m.when loading bays could also become taxi ranks.
