TAOISEACH OPENS EXTENSION TO BONS SECOURS HOSPITAL IN RENMORE

A major extension to the Bon Secours Hospital in the city is being officially opened by Taoiseach Enda Kenny around now [6pm].

Work on the 15 million euro development began in 2009.

The extension includes 50 new bedrooms, a physiotherapy department and new restaurant facilities.

Speaking to Galway Bay fm news, Hospital Chief Executive Gerry Burke says its will expand the facility's treatment capacity.
