A small group of demonstrators have been protesting outside the consituency office of Labour Deputy Derek Nolan today.

The group of concerned parents are calling on the Galway West deputy not to vote for budget measures which will see cuts to areas including child benefit.

They say measures such as increases to student contribution levies, cuts to back to school allowance and a 10 euro cut in child benefit will push many families into crisis.

This protestor told Galway Bay fm news why she had joined the small demonstration which was held on Dock Road.
