SKILLS MINISTER TO VISIT GALWAY EDUCATION CENTRE

Combining industry and education is key to sustaining Galway jobs.

That's according to Director of the Galway Education centre, Bernard Kirk, who's meeting with the Minister for training and skills Ciaran Cannon in the city this afternoon.

Minister Cannon of Galway East is visiting the education centre in Wellpark to find out more about its on-site learning and training facilities.

He will also meet with representatives from Medtronic, HP and S.A.P. who are also involved in education courses at the centre.

Director of the Galway Education Centre, Bernard Kirk says students need to learn life-long skills that will enhance their job prospects.
