SEVERE WEATHER ALERT FOR CONNACHT FOR THIS WEEKEND

A severe weather warning is being issued for this weekend for Connacht and MunsterMet Eireann is predicting gale force winds and heavy rainfall.The Road Safety Authority is advising all road users in Connacht to take extra care, especially on Saturday night and early Sunday morning.Met eireann says the stormy conditions could see northwest winds reaching up to 75 kilometres and hour with guts of up to 150 kilometres per hour possible with heavy rainfallMeanwhile the Irish Coast Guard is warning of high seas and waves of more than 10 metres.People are being advised not to go out on exposed coasts, cliffs, piers, harbour walls, beaches or promenades.
