SENTENCING IN CITY SEX ASSAULT CASE NEXT MONTH

A 35 year old man is to face sentencing next month for the sexual assault of two children in the city over a three year period.
The city man, who can’t be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to two counts when he was arraigned at Galway Circuit Criminal Court.
A victim impact statement was requested and an order was made to have the man registered on the sex offenders list.
The matter was then adjourned for sentencing to July 9th.
