Two men will be sentenced in May in connection with falsely imprisoning and assaulting another man in Galway.
At Dublin circuit criminal court, 37 year old Aurelijus Zrielskis of Cois Chlair, Claregalway, pleaded guilty of assault causing harm and to the false imprisonment of Mr Eemon at an outhouse at Francis Cottage, Menlo on May 25, 20-10.
His co-accused, 32 year old Gintautas Bagdonas of Clan House, Dominick Street pleaded guilty to assault causing harm and false imprisonment.
During the trial Mr Eemon said he thought he was going to be killed when he was tied up, gagged and held to the ground before being hit on his arms several times with a sledge hammer.
Mr Eemon, an Estonian, living in Galway, was taken by Zrielskis and Bagdonas to an outhouse over an unpaid drug debt and subjected to an assault which lasted over an hour.
Judge Desmond Hogan remanded both men in custody to be sentenced in May.
