The Government has rolled in behind local opposition for a scheduled seaplane service for tourists in the West of Ireland.
HarbourAir Ireland was hoping to begin operations next month serving a number of locations including Galway city docks and the Aran Islands.
The Department of Environment has now made an objection to the proposed service saying it has the potential to endanger birds in some areas.
