Scene of fatal city lift accident sealed off for HSA investigation
Galway Bay fm newsroom - The scene of a fatal lift accident in the city remains sealed off this morning to facilitate an examination by Health and Safety Authority officers.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out on the body of the three-year-old boy who died in the lift shaft at the social welfare office at Hynes Building on Augustine Street yesterday.Solomon Soremekun was with his mother and at least two other siblings at the building at around 3p.m.Two separate investigations have been launched by the Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority - into how the boy could have gained access to the lift shaft.
