Salthill Promenade reopens

High tide passed without any serious incidents of flooding in Salthill this morning.(Sunday Feb 2nd)

Parts of Salthill and Galway City have been badly hit by flooding over the weekend and there were fears of further serious damage today as businesses in the area are still counting the cost from yesterday's flood damage.

As the city council crews work to repair the damage  the Promenade  area of Salthill, one of the areas that suffered serious damage from the severe flooding reopened earlier today.
