ROUNDSTONE GROUP CONCERNED OVER LOAN FOR MARINE PROJECT

Four members of a community group in Connemara are faced with a bill estimated at over a quarter of a million euro - and rising by the day - unless the Government comes up with the money for a marine project. The money was borrowed by the voluntary community group in Roundstone based on the understanding that grant aid would come from the Department of the Marine. The bank is understood to be pressing for the money and the matter has been raised this week with the Minister for Finance.
