RENEWED CALL FOR FUNDING FOR CITY GAELSCOIL

A huge injustice is being carried out on Galway students and parents seeking second level education through Irish. That's according to Conradh na Gaeilge spokesperson Peadar Mac Fhlannchadha. He says it's vital that funds for the development of Coláiste na Coiribe's new building in Knocknacarra be provided for in the government's next roll out of funding. The lack of space in the 4 existing buildings on the Tuam Road means that the school's annual intake of students cannot exceed 60.This is despite having an average of 145 applications each year.
