RAHOON ROAD REOPENS AS CRASH VICTIM DUE TO BE TRANSFERRED TO BEAUMOUNT

The Rahoon Road has now reopened following an earlier road crash which has left one man with serious injuries.

The man, aged in his 20s and from the Galway area is this afternoon being transferred from University Hospital Galway to Beaumount Hospital.

The crash, involving three vehicles, happened at around 5:30 this morning close to the Rahoon cemetry.

Early reports indicate the man had driven to the area, and got out of his vehicle to inspect another car, when he was hit by an oncoming car on the road.
