Public meeting to try to save Caherlistrane post office

A public meeting will take place in Caherlistrane tonight to try and save a post office service in the area. It's the second public meeting to be held in the area after postal services were transferred to Headford when the shop closed in Caherlistrane. The shop in Caherlistrane is due to re-open under new management tomorrow week and the local community is hoping that the post office service can return to the area. Local politicans are also expected to attend tonight's meeting at 9p.m in Caherlistrane Community Centre, where a petition will also be signed by locals. It follows public meetings in Barnaderg and Cappataggle recently where communities are also trying to save the local post offices.
