PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS ARAN ISLANDS HARBOUR CHARGES

A public meeting is to be held on the Aran Island of Inis Mór today [Oct 17] to discuss proposed harbour fees and bye laws.

The laws look set to introduce new charges for ferry passengers and cargo ships using the Cill Rónáin and Cill Éinne Harbours.

This evening's meeting is organised by Comharchumann Forbartha Árann Teo and Coiste Calafoirt - the peer harbour development committee.

It takes place at 8 in Halla Rónáin community hall.
