PUBLIC HEARING NEXT WEEK ON CONNEMARA POWER LINE

An Bord Pleanála is to hold an oral public hearing next week about a proposed new high powered electricity power line to Connemara. The hearing will open in Peacock's Hotel in Maam Cross on Tuesday morning (28/4/09)and is expected to last the week. Over twenty groups and agencies - including Galway County Council and Údarás na Gaeltachta - have been invited to the oral hearing and the general public is also entitled to attend.
