PLANS FOR 50 BED COMMUNITY NURSING UNIT FOR BALLINASLOE

Plans are in the pipeline for a new 50 bed community nursing unit at St Brigids Hospital in Ballinasloe.The Health Services Executive West is seeking permission to build the unit at the St Brigid's campus in Creagh.The unit will consist of 50 beds, day and dining rooms, offices and support facilities and a number of recreational garden areas.The aim of the unit is to provide residential services to older people from the Ballinasloe area in the hope of keeping them in their own community.
