Over 200 turn out to public meeting on future of Cappataggle Post Office

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Up to 250 people turned out to a public meeting last evening to discuss the possible closure of Cappataggle Post Office. The future of the service has been thrown into doubt following the death of the Post Mistress last month. An Post is to carry out a review of the facility later this month after the month's mind on June 28th. At last evening's public meeting, a committee was appointed to lead the campaign against the possible closure. It's the second county post office to come under such review in recent months. The result of a consultation process involving Barnaderg Post Office is still awaited.
