OPW progresses plan for new Garda Headquarters in city

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Office of Public Works is progressing plans to build a new Garda Regional and Divisonal Headquarters in the city. It has now advertised the tender for expressions of interest in the project. Contractors will be placed on a panel, from which tenders will be invited for the construction of the building at the greenfield site at Dublin Road. The OPW is also seeking expressions of interest for pre-qualification for the mechanical engineering and electrical and lift installation parts of the project. The deadline for contractors to express an interest in working on the new Garda Headquarters in the city is August 4th.
