The country's lead agency for flood risk management is planning a major re-development of its centre in Headford. The Office of Public Works is hoping to knock the existing Western Region drainage and hydrology unit at the Town Square and replace it with two new buildings. The Commissioner of Public Works is now seeking approval from Galway county council to demolish its Western Region Drainage and Hydrology unit at the Town Square in Headford to make way for two new buildings. The first 4-storey building will include offices, public reception, meeting rooms, archive and canteen.
