OMEY ISLAND WHALE TO BE DISPOSED OF AT SEA

The carcass of the dead whale that has been stranded on the beach at Omey Island in Connemara for the past two weeks is now being towed out to sea.

The whale was taken from the beach just before midday and it will be disposed of west of High Island.
