ÔHeadstockÕ celebrates best local rock talent

Headford will come alive with the sound of music on April 7 as five local bands hit the stage and showcase just how much hidden talent is lurking in a town, which many will best know as a base for fishermen.

Headliners This Nachez, whose blistering sound make them a sensational live band, will joined by Sneaky Pint, The Metrognomes, Next Exit, and 9 Ideas.

“We want this day to be enjoyed by the locals and to show everyone that a gig like Headstock is not just “banging noise for a younger crowd”, says Éimhín Cradock, drummer with This Nachez. The organisers have made every effort to ensure that young and old will be catered for with music, food and even a relaxation area for those too tired for the moshing!

The focus of the event is on showcasing the talented youth to the good people of Headford.

“It’s crazy, most people in this town don’t know that there’s one rock band from Headford not to mind five!” says Cradock.The gig will take place in Headford’s Town Hall and tickets are €5.There will be a separate seated area where hot food will be served and people can enjoy a chat and still feel part of the atmosphere. This day is a day not to be missed. Doors open at 1.30pm and the event runs until 7pm.
