Planning corruption and irregularities such as those detailed in the Mahon report were not experienced in Galway County Council.

That's according to Fianna Fail's Galway West TD Eamon O'Cuiv who says he feels betrayed following the findings of the report.

The Tribunal report said the evidence given by the former Taoiseach about his finances was untrue.

Fianna Fail is to vote next week on whether to expel both the former Taoiseach, former minister Padraig Flynn and three former councillors.

Speaking on Galway Talks, Deputy O'Cuiv says while he sat on Galway County Council, planning irregularities were not an issue.
