OCCUPY GALWAY VOWS TO MAINTAIN PROTEST IN CITY

Date Published: 13-Feb-2012
The Occupy Galway demonstrators say they'll maintain their protest in the city until the government listens to the public's concerns.
The group has been located in Eyre Square for four months now as part of a global movement against corporate greed.
Earlier this afternoon [Feb 13], the campaigners held another in a series of protests outside Bank Of Ireland on Mainguard Street and at its branch on Eyre Square, in opposition to bondholder payments.
The group has refused to move from its campsite in the city centre and now has a permanent membership of 20 people.
