OBJECTION STALLS KILCOLGAN SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT

A formal objection to the construction of a school building in Kilcolgan has stalled any works going ahead.

Alan Kelly on behalf of Enplan consultants has lodged the objection with An Bord Pleanala.

The objection was made after planning for the six classroom temporary school building was originally granted by the county council.

It cites several issues with the plans including concern over the ability of the site to accomodate a high concentration of vehicles at school opening and closing times.
