Nursing and Midwifery Board seeks duty rosters from UHG

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland has requested University Hospital Galway to provide it with duty rosters following the publication of the HSE’s report into the death of Savita Halappanavar.

On completion of a review of the rosters and the HSE and Coroner’s documents, a report will be prepared for the Board of the NMBI for its consideration.

Dr Maura Pidgeon, CEO said “As part of our review procedures, we have requested duty rosters and we will use them to cross reference both reports.”

The NMBI sought the inquest report and submissions into the death of Savita Halappanavar from the Coroner as soon as they were available in April.

The HSE Report was referred on publication to the NMBI last week by the Department of Health.
