NEW NUIG BICYCLE FACILITY TO ALLEVIATE PARKING PROBLEMS

NUIGalway has been given the go-ahead to build a large bicycle park on campus.

The third level college has been granted planning permission for the park with 180 spaces.

City planners have stipulated that before work begins, details of landscaping of the area to the front of the bike park must be submitted to the City Council.

Also pre-development testing must be carried out on the site by an archaeologist.
