NAME OF FURBO CRASH VICTIM NOT YET RELEASED

A post-mortem examination on the body of a man that died after being hit by a car near Furbo this morning, is taking place at UHG.

The name of the 42 year old from the Galway area has not yet been released by Gardaí, as they are still attempting to contact family members.

The Barna to Spiddal road has re-opened following the crash.
