MOBILE CCTV PROPOSAL TO DETER ILLEGAL DUMPING

A mobile CCTV unit may be used to deal with illegal dumping at bottle banks in the city.

Councillor Neil McNeilis says such a system would be more cost effective than installing permament cameras and would also deter people from dumping at sites.

There are already CCTV cameras at some bring banks in the city such as the site at the Western Distributor road.
