MINISTER SAYS NO RESIGNATIONS SOUGHT OR OFFERED FROM RTE BOARD

Minister for Communications Pat Rabbitte says there should be no changes on the board of RTÉ arising out of the libeling of Ahascragh parish priest Fr Kevin Reynolds.
It follows a two hour meeting to discuss the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland's report on the RTE Prime Time Investigates programme in May last year.
The Minister says the Board offered no excuses for what had happened and accepted it caused damage not only to Fr Reynolds but also to the reputation of RTÉ
Fr. Reynolds solicitor Robert Dore is taking the Minister's word that resignations from the RTE board aren't necessary.
