Pedestrians and cyclists are being put in danger by what has become a 'rat run' in the Menlo area, according to Councillor Terry O' Flaherty. She says residents in the area have complained to her about speeding and near accidents on the road from Menlo village to Ballindooley Cross.Motorists have been using the route as an alternative to using the Headford Road during peak hours.Councillor O' Flaherty says the rat-running is compromising the safety of people, particularly children, along the route. She's calling on the City Council to meet with local residents in Menlo to try and find a solution.
