MEETING SOUGHT OVER CLARINBRIDGE OYSTER FISHING

Date Published: 21-Jan-2012
A Galway senator wants the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to meet a deputation from Clarinbridge about oyster fishing licences.
Senator Fidelma-Healy Eames raised the issue in the Seanad this week, where she asked for clarification as to why licences are being refused for inner Galway bay.
The Fine Gael Senator says the oyster industry is a vital export industry for the country with France importing a lot of Clarinbridge's oysters.
