Inquests into the deaths of the two Air Corps pilots who died after their plane crashed into a hill in Cornamona three years ago, will take place next month.

Thrity-two year old Captain Derek Furniss from Dublin, and twenty-two year old Cadet David Jevins from Wexford were the only people on board the plane when it came down in October 2009.

The PC-9 two seater plane had been taking part in a training exercise with two other aircraft, both of which returned safely to Galway airport.

Inquests into the deaths of the two men will be held in May.
