MAN DIES FOLLOWING SURFING ACCIDENT ON ARAN ISLANDS

A man in his fifties has died following a surfing accident on the Aran Islands. The Shannon based helicopter was alerted to the scene at Inis Oírr shortly after eight o'clock yesterday evening. The man, who was 56, was brought to shore and given CPR, but he died a short time later. His body has been transferred to hospital in Limerick.
