MAJOR CONFERENCE ON CHILDRENS HEALTH GETS UNDERWAY AT NUIG

A conference aimed at addressing Health Inequalities among Children opens today at NUI Galway.'Closing the Gap in Child and Adolescent Health: the Settings Approach' is the title of NUIG's 13th Annual Health Promotion Research Centre conference.It will take place at 11am in the main Arts Science concourse at the University.Up to 200 academics, policy-makers, practitioners, and young people will attend the conference during which delegates will discuss how to promote health and well being in various settings such as families, communities, hospitals, schools and pre-schools.Young people between the ages of 10 and 25 will also be given an opportunity to showcase their work on children's health and well being.
