LATEST GALWAY TRANSPORT PLAN BRANDED OVER AMBITIOUS

The latest Galway City Council Transport Plan has been branded over-ambitious, and too dependent on a heap of other agencies by Cllr Donal Lyons.The Galway Transportation Unit Business Plan 2008 to 2012 was presented by officials at last night's meeting. At best the plan was described as a first step to solving the city's transport problems while at worst several councillors said they'd heard all the proposals before and they're long overdue.
