That's according to Acting City Manager Joe O'Neill who presented a report on public sector reform at a recent meeting of the local authority.

Staff numbers at the city council have reduced from 535 whole time equivalents in 2008 to a current staffing of 438.

Overtime has also been reduced from 2.7 million euro in 2008 to 700 thousand euro last year.
