Hotly tipped Seven Days for residency in D‡il Bar

Up-and-coming Irish band Seven Days are scheduled to play a series of gigs upstairs at The Dáil Bar, starting this Sunday, April 11 at 10pm.
The Kildare-based band borrow elements of the past to create a contemporary sound that has made them one of the most interesting groups playing today.
Seven Days are made up of Ian White on vocals and guitar, Nicky Brennan on lead guitar, Darren Sweeney on bass and Ricky Byrne on drums.
The band have had an amazing first year together, winning a slot on the New Bands’ Stage at the Oxegen Festival where they received an outstanding response from over 3000 people. Since then they have been busy performing up and down the country, gathering a large fan base across all age groups.
Seven Days have a great ability to craft classic songs that get people moving. Huge hooks and smashing choruses flirt with one another in songs such as Easier and Temptation, while their charm shines through in tracks like Harder to Breathe and These Shoes.
Their live shows have won interest from leading names, including producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers/Super Furry Animals) who is producing their debut single in the UK.
Having recently had high profile support slots with The Blizzards and The Coronas and with a debut single scheduled for release by summer, these are guys to watch for, according to Jayne O’Toole of the Dáil Bar.
“I was given the lads’ CD and had them play an acoustic gig at The Dáil just to check them out. I believe them to be one of the best Irish bands around at the moment and recommend people check these guys out.”
Admission to the gigs will be free. For more information on the band go to www.myspace.com/sevendaysofficial or check the Dáil Bar on Facebook.
