HIGHEST EVER NUMBER ON CONNEMARA HOUSING WAITING LIST

Date Published: 28-Dec-2008

Figures obtained from Galway County Council show that there are 622 applications for Council houses in west Galway - the highest ever number from that area. Most of the applicants are looking for houses in villages and towns while a small number are looking for houses out the countryside. Councillor Connie Ní Fhátharta who looked for the housing list statistics says the situation must be addressed urgently.
